A Cas sketch I did today, inspired by the S9 set photos floating around on Tumblr. I used Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils then I enhanced the colors and texturized everything in Photoshop CS6.
I can’t wait ^o^
Commission for My-heavenly-side who requested A destiel kiss in the rain!!!
;A; It was supposed to be a sketch , but I accidentally made it a bus pen doodle… ( oh well I guess that’s a free little improvement!)
I GOT EMOTIONAL OVER THIS… * sobbing over Cas in the pouring rain*
It seemed like everything happened so fast, Castiel’s head was still spinning a week later. The fall, the loud crashing around him like he was in a war zone. He’d covered his ears and ducked his head, and tried to concentrate on one thing, one voice.
He stood quickly from where he was crouched on the ground, seeing stars dance in front of his eyes as his heart beat faster only reminding him of exactly how human he’d become. His breathing quickened and he felt sick to his stomach. He clutched at his shirt and loosened his tie. He heard nothing.
The nauseous feeling stuck with him the entire week. He pined for the rough voice and the green eyes that he’d raised from hell all those years ago, but most of all, he longed for the prayers he’d receive late at night. The ones said in hushed tones, carefully spoken so as not to say too much. The ones that reminded him that he was needed, and that he was loved. He wasn’t just an angel gone wrong, he was important to somebody. And somebody was important to him. He wasn’t an emotionless soldier anymore, and he wishes he’d of thanked Dean for it before he fell.
He keeps waiting for a wrenching feeling in his gut, a burn in his heart. He waits for everything to hit him at once. A loud ringing in his ears, the feeling of having his wings ripped from his back. The anguish of having his grace torn from his vessel. But - it never comes. The dull ache in his chest is his only reminder that he’s human. The tears that get stuck in his eyelashes and wet his face are the only reminder that he’s no longer an intangible grace, confusing and beautiful.
He may be human now, but Castiel fell a long time ago.
The prize commissioned comic for my giveaway winner, Mallory! The request was “something Destiel inspired with Charlie.” So…tada!
